Are you still "over-processing" your paperwork?

I'm showing how Claude can extract and convert CoA data against customer specs in minutes, eliminating hours of manual retyping and unit conversions that many chemical distributors still do by hand.

As seen on LinkedIn Read the original post and the comments (opens LinkedIn in a new tab)

You are if you still retype CoA numbers by hand? Claude has gotten so good at extraction, you should give it a try.

In chemicals, a supplier’s CoA lists flash point, pH, specific gravity, moisture. The customer’s PO spec lists the same 4, different order, sometimes different units. Fahrenheit vs. Celcius, % vs. ppm, etc.

Normally that means retyping both into a spreadsheet with conversions to follow. It can easily waste 15 minutes per CoA.

Here’s what to do:

  • Paste both documents into one Claude conversation.
  • Ask for a pass or fail table against spec in an Excel spreadsheet for you to check.

It pulls the numbers, converts units, flags what’s out of tolerance.

If you do this kind of thing a lot, create a Project or Skill.

This is just one of dozens of examples I teach in my workshops to stop chemical distributors from over-processing and get their teams more efficient.
