Six hours to process 47 SDS files. The same job now takes four minutes.

A job that used to eat six hours, pulling data from 47 SDS files, now takes four minutes with a tool like Claude Cowork doing the extraction while a human still checks the work. With the 2026 SDS label changes underway, distributors need that time back for compliance and growth.

Six hours to process 47 SDS files. The same job now takes four minutes.

Every distributor has a version of this.

A customer onboarding packet, a supplier price list update, a batch of COAs that needs to be pulled apart and dropped into a spreadsheet. Someone in operations loses a day to it, every two weeks. That is not the job you hired them to do.

The new 2026 procedural and label changes for SDS authorizing is a major project for chemical distributors.

Tools like Claude Cowork can sit on your desktop, read the folder, and do the extraction/updates while your team does something that actually grows the business. You still need HITL (Human In The Loop), but at least you are not editing a blank page.

Today, our industry is busy working through supply chain issues. However, we also need to deploy technology to help maintain the business we are gaining, stay compliant and invest those margins in developing our team’s AI readiness.
