The problem with AI adoption is imagination, not technology
Why imagination, not technology, is the real barrier to AI adoption for chemical distributors.
The tools are not what is holding chemical distributors back. Imagination is.
I see it all the time. A room full of people with the same AI everyone else has, and no picture of what to do with it. It is like having a fancy kitchen and not knowing how to cook. The equipment was never the problem.
The distributors who get value did not buy the best tool. They looked at one ugly, manual, everyday task and asked whether a machine could do it. Order entry. Quoting. Answering the same product question for the fortieth time.
Start there. One task you already hate. The technology is ready. The question is whether you can picture the meal.
What is the one task in your operation you would hand off first?
