Waiting on AI is not a neutral decision.
Why waiting on AI is not the neutral choice it feels like, and the case for starting with one project instead of a strategy.
Some distributors I work with tell me some version of the same thing. “We are going to wait until the AI stuff settles down.”
Waiting feels like the safe, neutral choice. It is not. While you wait, the distributor down the road is teaching their reps to prep every call in seconds and pull customer history before they dial. The gap does not hold steady. It widens.
Sticking your head in the sand hoping it blows over is not a plan.
You do not need a strategy. You need one project. Pick a single task your team hates doing by hand and put AI on that one thing. A project comes before a strategy, every time.
